B. Jennine Anderson, CPA

Jennine Anderson is a Partner with UHY LLP. With over twenty years of experience in public accounting, her chosen specialty is nonprofit accounting, auditing, and tax compliance. Her clients include trade associations, charities, membership and higher education organizations. She is the Mid- Atlantic attest leader for UHY LLP and co-chairs the UHY Not-for-Profit and Education Industry Group. She is a member of FASB’s Not-for-Profit Resource Group.

Jennine manages and oversees the entire audit team, reviewing all reports and forms. She calls upon her extensive experience auditing tax-exempt organizations and performing audits in compliance with OMB Circular A-133 to maintain the high standards of excellence for which the firm is recognized. She is often called upon to present audit reports, management letters, and trend and ratio analyses to boards of directors, audit committees and management.

Jennine also consults with clients on accounting and tax as well as management issues. An accomplished speaker, Jennine often makes presentations to audiences such as professional associations and industry groups on such topics as reading and understanding financial statements and auditors’ communications as well as budgeting, compliance, financial accountability and the Form 990.

Jennine earned a B.A. and an M.A. in economics from the University of Delaware. She holds a Certificate of Educational Achievement in Governmental Accounting and Auditing from AICPA and has completed exams and coursework toward a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia.

Jennine is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Society of Association Executives, the National Association of College and University Business Officials, and Maryland Nonprofits. Long active in her community, she is a graduate of Leadership Howard County. She currently serves as treasurer of the board of Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center. She was treasurer of the county’s Economic Forum, and was a member of the Economic Development Advisory Council. She was also treasurer and member of the board of directors of the Jim Rouse Entrepreneurial Fund. She served as a member of the Local Advisory Committee to Howard Community College, the Howard County Public School System, the Howard County Aging and Disability Resource Center, was a charter member of the National Academy of Finance Advisory Council in Howard County, and a member of the Advisory Board of Family and Children’s Services of Central Maryland.
